Last week of the first month of 2012.... Now for the month of Love.

Welcome!
It's been over a week since I have posted here, and I've been missing it. :)
This past week was a great week here at the Hejl house. Quite a few things that were wrapped up, and just getting started.
January is now over.. not sure where it went, but bring on MY BIRTHDAY month! ;) Matt and the basketball team had their last basketball game this past week. Marc's team (Aquilla) lost their game Tuesday night, and brought down the house on Friday night against Coolidge who has beaten them the past 2 times in overtime. Last night (Friday) the Cougars beat them by about 20 I think. I'll take a 20 point win vs overtime wins ANY time! Go team! Now we are just hoping Marc's grades pull through and he is able to continue playing through the playoffs!
Mason was the Panther Star this week! He was SO proud, as was I of course. I wish I had a picture of his face when he told me. He had the best little smile, and was also so proud of himself. :)
Wednesday I had only my second session of this new year, which was with a beautiful 8 month old. I have been photographing this little love since her home was in her Mother's belly! She is growing WAY too fast! She is a beautiful blue eyed little girl with dark hair, what a beauty!
<----This picture of Mason and I was from a night that the kids had gone to bed at 6pm.. sounds great, until they wake up at 8:30 ready to take on the world... So I made the best of it with my big guy. :)
After I finished that session, the boys and I went across the river over to the Playground at Pecan Bottoms. It has been a while since we have been there, and what better day than February 1st. Did I mention the weather has been amazing!
Well, last night was a doozy. Just as Matt and I were talking about getting the kids ready for bed so that we could do the same, Micah manages to somehow bust both his lip & nose at the same time. I am not really sure how it went down. Something like this... Playing with a ottoman/leg rest thing with the lid off, hands slip and catches himself with the top of his lip and bottom of his nose. Within seconds blood is coming out of his mouth and nose, and I am telling my husband to go get a rag. It took about 5 minutes to get the blood to stop with some frequent re-starts for about 10 minutes.
He just looked so pitiful, and was very difficult to calm down. Micah is definitely a mommas boy, and I can usually calm him pretty quickly, but this time it did not matter what tricks I had, or love I showed, he was upset! :(
Once he finally calmed down, and the bleeding had stopped we got the kids to bed. Whew... How about that Friday night.
So, the little guy and I slept beside each other, and he had a good night!
Today, oh today... A day for me, kind of. :) I spent the day organizing my scrap booking things, as well as managed to get a few pages scrapped. Now I am in the scrapping mood, and ready to get more done... Oh, and maybe get a little craft/scrapbook room made. :) Any takers? :)
Like I said, it has been a pretty good week.
A little catch up for the My four Hens Project 52... I didn't get a chance to post last weeks, and I just recently posted mine for this week with her Flickr group.
<------- This is for the "imperfect" theme. I feel as though some may see this as imperfect, I find him to be nothing but perfect!
<------- This is for this weeks theme "Simplicity". I bought these last week, and I feel that most of us take the "simple" things for granted like shoes, but because I bought a pair of these another little boy or girl who does not know what simple is will get a pair of shoes!
