Making a Move

Well, oddly enough I do not have any pictures to go with this post.  The fact that I have not blogged in over 3 months oughta tell you something.  What is wrong with me. Ugh.  I've said it before, I'll say it again.  I WILL DO BETTER! :)

The reason for me picking up the virtual pen and paper is to document the next chapter we are embarking on.  Most of you know that Matt is a coach in Abbott, TX.  We live in small town near Whitney and the drive there is 30 minutes.  Matt makes this drive in the morning, I make it in the afternoon, and then on some occasions I drive back in the evenings to be a "coaches wife" and support my husband.  On those specific days that is 3 hours a day we spend driving to and from Abbott.  Where we are now is lovely.  Our neighbors, my "adopted" family are amazing.  They have really shown me what family is and how family should operate.  I do love my family, but we all know they (including myself) could use a little guidance. :)  Deidra & Roy are the kindest people I know.  They have 3 children of their own, and without hesitation welcomed us to that trio and never asked for anything in return.  Their daughters, one of which is my Best Friend of friends (fancy that), are great examples of mothers, wives and friends.  What a joy it is to know them, and to see their love for one another.  I have learned more these past 3 years about values, morals, compassion, and unconditional love from this group of people than in my 25 years previous.  Not only are they "America's Family" they are God's family, and live by that daily.  How lucky was I.

SO, with that being said, it is quite obvious the loss that we are moving forward with, yet the gain that awaits us in this wonderful little town.  The home that we are renting is about 2 blocks from the school. When I stank out in the road there in front of the house I can see the school.  The renters have told us that it is quicker to walk than to drive... Thank you JESUS!  I have developed a strong dislike for driving lately.  The home is much bigger, has an extra bedroom, two full size bath rooms, living, dining, kitchen and a 2 car garage, or one car and one boat garage. :)  The backyard is fabulous and already has a small swing awaiting us in one of the tree's.  To the boys delight there is a train that runs just behind the house.  That's going to take some getting used to, but it is a guaranteed baby sitter for the 5 minutes it takes to pass. :)  We know all of our neighbors, and just about everyone down the street.  Matt will be able to come home after school before games and I will be able to be a part of more of his games.  I am also blessed in that I will be able to take care of two small children during the school week which will be nice for Micah to have around being as Mason starts Kindergarten this next year. (open the flood gates)  Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.  Any who, God is doing great things for us, and opening this door and I am overjoyed!  It can't get here quick enough.

I will post pictures soon.  Thanks so much for listening to my ramblings. :)

Until next time (which won't be so long from now)
